Williston Fire Station
Prior to this project, the facility that housed the City of Williston’s volunteer fire department, which serves the entire southern area of Fayette County, had become outdated and did not support the functions of an efficient fire department. The city partnered with A2H to obtain CDBG funding and build a new ground-up facility where the old facility stood.
A2H provided demolition plans of the old facility and managed the design and construction for the new fire station. The 5,900-square-foot facility features two apparatus bays, sleeping quarters, an office, training room, kitchen, laundry room, and locker room. The building was designed as essential facility and complies with seismic standards of the International Building Code.
