The City of Munford had outgrown its existing fire station, based out of City Hall, and partnered with A2H to construct its first stand-alone fire station in 2011.

The facility totals 14,500 square feet and houses three oversized apparatus bays and ample space for equipment and continued training. Sleeping quarters with eight beds, a kitchen, a laundry area, and fitness and training spaces were designed to maximize staff comfort on-duty. Business spaces include a conference room and multiple offices.

In addition to many amenities, the station was designed to engage the community by providing museum space in the lobby and a context-sensitive exterior facade that is compatible with the distinct character of downtown Munford.
