Meet the fresh new talent that joined A2H this summer.
We're thrilled to announce that two A2H projects were recognized at recent awards banquets. The Memphis Health Center was awarded a Building Memphis Award from the Memphis Business Journal, and the new Pacific Industries manufacturing facility in Jackson won an Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee.
With all proceeds going to the Humane Society, you can fill out a bracket at $10 a pop. In addition to helping hurt or abandoned animals, the grand prize winner of our bracket challenge will receive a $100 Amazon gift card!
Our goal is to raise $1,000. That's just 100 brackets to fill, so please join us in the fun! Fill a bracket, save a life!
Enter by first submitting a donation to the Humane Society here. You'll then receive a personalized link to set up your brackets.
Note: Brackets are $10 each. Upon your donation to the Humane Society, you will receive a personalized URL to fill out up to 10 brackets. Because this is a fundraiser, we trust that you fill the correct number of brackets that equals your donation. Anyone who fills out more brackets than the amount donated is subject to disqualification from the grand prize.
We'd like to extend a huge Thank You to everyone who contributed to our #thankful30 food drive in February. A2H friends and staff donated more than 750 items and $160 in cash donations for the Mid-South Bank. Though we didn't reach our goal of 1,500 items, we're grateful to see our supporters in Lakeland, Tenn.; Jackson, Tenn.; and Oxford, Miss. come together to contribute to an important cause.
2016 marks our 30th anniversary as a firm. We're grateful to the Memphis and Mid-South community for supporting us all these years. As a way of saying thank you, we're launching the #thankful30 program this month where members of our staff are gathering to give back to the community throughout the year.
A2H will host volunteer opportunities every month this year to support local charities, for example coordinating a food drive for the Mid-South Food Bank and assembling care packages for the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association.
#thankful30 aligns with our mission statement of Creating an Enhanced Quality of Life for Our Clients and Community. The program will give our team a chance to focus on the "community" side of our mission.
A few of our staff members got together to shoot a video as a thank you to our clients and friends. Check it out below. Also follow #thankful30 on Twitter to stay looped in on the fun events we're having throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued support! We look forward to what the next 30 years will bring.
August 2015 marked the 25th anniversary of the American with Disabilities Act being passed. Since then, many buildings and sidewalks have been modified to accommodate access for those with disabilities. Unfortunately, even after 25 years, there are still many structures that don’t provide proper access and don’t meet current regulations.
We’ve helped many communities across the Mid-South address these issues and enhance accessibility. Projects have included elevator installations, adjusted entryways with ramps, curb cuts at sidewalks, and additional handicap parking spots. We wanted to give the thumbs up to the following communities and schools who are taking charge in increasing accessibility.
