Tennessee College of Applied Technologies
Hands-On Healthcare Training Facility
As part of the Statewide Drive to 55 Initiative to increase the number of Tennesseans with certifications and degrees, TCAT and Tipton County were awarded a CDBG grant to expand the college’s academic program in Covington, Tennessee. The program’s focus is on providing enhanced workforce development opportunities in a community that has limited access to higher education options.
The ground-up facility, currently in design, will provide state-of-the art healthcare training to equip students with the necessary skills to secure employment after graduation. Key components include a skilled nursing suite, dental suite, pharmaceutical suite, and a multipurpose common area.
